Write a Book in a Day Awards and Prizes
Best Books
Awards for books are determined by the Write a Book in a Day judging panel. Read more about the judges here.
The following awards are presented in each School Division by State or Territory:
- ‘Best Book’
- ‘Highly Commended Book’;
- ‘Commended Book’; and
- ‘Best Illustrations’.
The following awards are presented Nationally in each division:
- ‘Best Book’; and
- ‘Best Illustrations’.
Top Fundraisers
Top individual and team fundraisers will be recognised with the following prizes.
The top 3 individuals with the highest sponsorship amount will win a Gift Card for an amount in accordance with their ranking, as follows:
- Highest ranking- $1,000;
- Second highest ranking- $750; and
- Third highest ranking- $500.
The top 3 Teams with the highest sponsorship amount will win a Gift Card for an amount in accordance with their ranking, as follows:
- Highest ranking- $1,000;
- Second Highest ranking- $750; and
- Third highest ranking- $500.
Prize draw competition
Any team that raises over $500 will automatically be placed into the draw to win a gift card valued at $1,000.
The cause
Your participation in Write a Book in a Day supports The Kids’ Cancer Project and research into finding kinder, more effective treatments for childhood cancers.
