The most prestigious awards for best book and illustration in each category are determined by the expert Write a Book in a Day judging panel. Read more about the judges here. The following awards are presented in each school division by state or territory:

Awards for Top Fundraisers
The top 3 individuals with the highest sponsorship amount will win a gift card:
Highest fundraiser − $1,000
Second highest fundraiser − $750
Third highest fundraiser − $500
The top 3 Teams with the highest sponsorship amount will win a gift card:
Highest fundraising team − $1,000
Second highest fundraising team − $750
Third highest fundraising team − $500
Prize draw competition
Any team that raises over $500 will automatically be placed into the draw to win a gift card valued at $1,000.

Be in with a chance to win a school visit with award-winning middle-grade and young adult author, Samera Kamaleddine.
Register and pay team entry fee (minimum payment of $77/ 1 team) by 30 June 2025 to go into the draw to win a school visit.
Winners will be randomly selected; the draw will be made at 12 noon on 15 July 2025. Winners will be notified by email on 15 July 2025. School visit prize to be arranged subject to author availability. Visit may be online depending on school location.
