The Kids’ Cancer Project

Survival Starts with Science

All registration fees and money raised during Write a Book in a Day will directly fund vital childhood cancer research projects via The Kids’ Cancer Project.

Approximately 86% of children now survive cancer, but 14% tragically still die. In addition, many of the 86% that do survive suffer from long-term effects attributed to harsh cancer treatment.

The money you raise during Write a Book in a Day will help fund further research projects that could save lives, improve and soften treatments, and reduce the harsh side-effects that survivors of childhood cancer have to live with.

The Kids’ Cancer Project has committed over $75 million to a host of research projects across Australia, overseen breakthroughs that have made the cover of the Cancer Research Journal, funded the development of apps to help kids thrive after treatment and provided the initial funding for programs like Zero Childhood Cancer, ensuring every Australian child with cancer is given access to clinical trial.

With your support during Write a Book in a Day we can help even more kids with cancer survive and thrive after treatment.

On behalf of The Kids’ Cancer Project, I would like to wish you and your team good luck this Write a Book in a Day. While the hours tick on and the word count grows, feel assured in knowing that your work is bringing us closer to our dream of no child dying from cancer. Happy writing and fundraising!
