In praise of Write a Book in a Day

Every year, students and teachers alike look forward to Write a Book in a Day, but don’t take our word for it, read what they have to say about it.

“The Kids’ Cancer Project Write a Book in a Day competition is a fabulous initiative. Not only do you get to experience the fun and satisfaction of creating a book in collaboration with others, but it only takes a day! And, as a bonus, all funds raised help to support childhood cancer research. Well, what are you waiting for? Get writing!” – Andy Griffiths, Australian Author

“This is one of our favourite events on the school calendar. It is wonderful to witness students working and creating together while raising money for an amazing cause. The sense of accomplishment that the students feel at the end of the day is so lovely to be a part of.”- Julie, Team Coordinator, St Andrews Lutheran College

Write a Book in a Day”¸ was such a great experience for the girls. They had a great day brainstorming ideas, writing, and illustrating their story. The biggest thing was the realisation that they all had particular skills in each part of the creative process, which meant they all felt their contributions were valued.
