How to Enter

Here's what you need to know to enter:

Step 1. Read the competition manual

Read the competition manual to ensure you understand all the rules before entering. You can complete the competition virtually or in a classroom environment.

Step 2. Register

Click the Register button and follow the prompts to create your unique login. We’re here to help, contact us at [email protected] or call 02 8394 7711.

Step 3. Choose a date and set up your teams

Select a writing date and confirm your 5 – 10 team members. While you’re there, why not register more than one team?

Step 4. Pay registration fee

Pay the $70 registration fee at least one week prior to your chosen writing day. If you are facing delays or difficulties in making payment, contact us via [email protected] or call 02 8394 7711.

Step 5. Receive information

You’ll receive all the information you need as a Team Coordinator and the team members will receive an email detailing how to set up their individual fundraising pages.

Step 6. Start fundraising

Start fundraising! Raise $240 minimum by 30 September to be eligible for your book to be judged. Encourage your team members to use their individual fundraising pages and share them with family, friends and peers. 

Step 7. Get to work!

The day before your writing date, Team Coordinators will receive an email with the parameters and random words for their team/s. Write and illustrate your book by 8pm with submission of the book due by 9pm on the day you started. Congratulations, you just wrote a book in a day!
